Zusammenfassung

Die vergangenen zehn Jahre haben mit einer Flut von Arbeiten unsere Kenntnisse über die Morphologie, die Ausbreitungsmuster, das Metastasierungsverhalten und die Prognose des ProstataCarcinoms erheblich erweitert. So erscheint es gerechtfertigt, die angehäuften Befunde einmal kritisch zu sichten. Als Pathologe möchte ich in meinem Referat in erster Linie den Stellenwert der Morphologie für die Diagnostik, Therapie und Prognose des Prostata-Carcinoms überprüfen.
