Abstract

A mean-field description is given for spin glass systems without ideal classical local moments. The starting point is a moderately dilute set of Anderson model impurities, each with a finite Kondo or spin fluctuation temperature, coupled by indirect exchange. The results are consistent with a picture in which the Kondo and spin glass interactions compete, leading to the existence of a finite concentration threshold for T = 0 spin glass behavior.
