Abstract

The clinical approach to hirsutism has two different aims:

  1. 1)

To perform a correct evaluation of the degree of hirsutism and its eventual association to other clinical manifestations of abnormal androgenization, and

  2. 2)

To obtain, by means of appropriate investigation, an indication of the aetiology of hirsutism in view of giving appropriate treatment.
