Whether it is due to the influence of Professor Fritz Lipmann or to the essence of Biochemistry, much of the work of his former students has been concerned with phosphorylated compounds. Perhaps it would be better to conclude that Dr. Lipmann and the essence of Biochemistry are one and the same....
