Whether it is due to the influence of Professor Fritz Lipmann or to the essence of Bio­chemistry, much of the work of his former students has been concerned with phos­phorylated compounds. Perhaps it would be better to conclude that Dr. Lipmann and the essence of Biochemistry are one and the same....
