Zusammenfassung
Es handelt sich um ein eigenständiges Krankheitsbild in Form einer unspezifischen granulomatösen und destruierenden Entzündung, die vom rektalen Palpationsbefund her fast immer als Karzinom interpretiert und biopsiert wird. Auf diese Weise wurden bisher 193 granulomatöse Prostatitiden am Prostatakarzinom-Register erfaßt, entsprechend 1,45% des Gesamtvolumens von 13 387 bisher ausgewerteten Fällen.
