Zusammenfassung
Die Instrumente der (klassischen) Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie und der mathematischen Statistik werden heute in weiten Bereichen der empirischen Wissenschaften und in immer stärkerem Maß eingesetzt. Für ein klares Verständnis empirisch wissenschaftlicher Forschung und Praxis ist jedoch die korrekte Verwendung des (Kolmogoroffsehen) Wahrscheinlichkeitsbegriffs nicht hinreichend. Sowohl für das Verständnis von Wahrscheinlichkeitsaussagen im empirischen Kontext wie auch für die Begründung derartiger Aussagen sind weitere Interpretationen des Wahrscheinlichkeitsbegriffs notwendig.
