Zusammenfassung

A critical review of the use of computer techniques in the field of medicine and health care in general was recently published (1) by a special study group of the International Hospital Federation, IHF. The review reveals that a successful usage of computer techniques in these fields is restricted almost exclusively to a few well-defined areas in administration and to some medical services such as fiscal accouting and some types of laboratory automation.
