The Electronic Structure of Crystalline Phases of Se and Te

  • Conference paper
The Physics of Selenium and Tellurium

Part of the book series: Springer Series in Solid-State Sciences ((SSSOL,volume 13))

Abstract

A theoretical study of the electronic structure of crystalline phases of Se and Te is presented in four parts. The first part deals with a review of theoretical techniques and results in the study of trigonal Se and Te at zero hydrostatic pressure. Particular attention is focused on the nature of bonding, electronic charge densities and electronic densities of states.
