Abstract

Crystals with this structure exhibit generally a complex dielectric behavior caused by the high polarizability of the constituent ions. Under pressure, several of them undergo phase transitions into the rock salt structure. Strong anharmonic effects are connected with these properties. The ammonium-halides are closely related to those with rock salt structures described in Chap.7.
