Abstract
The temperature dependence of the susceptibility of solvent-free DPPH powder measured by means of the hyperfine splitting in the proton magnetic resonance spectrum fits a one-dimensional alternating antiferranagnetic Heisenberg chain with activation energy |J|= 10 K and an alternation parameter estimated to be about 0.2.
