Investigation of Amorphous Allays Fe40Ni40B20 by Mössbauer Spectroscopy

Abstract

Hyperfine fields distribution on nuclei Fe57in an amorphous alloy Fe40Ni40B20 is obtained; this distribution is approximated by two Gauss distributlons. The distribution centre of gravity is shifted towards the large field value. The sample shows magnetic anisotropy of an “easy plane” type which coincides with a ribbon plane at room temperature. At the temperature decrease, the easy magnetization plane is shifted from a ribbon plane making an angle ~ 45° at 80 K.
