Line Width Alternating in the ĊH2CH2COOH ESR Spectra

Abstract

The methylene group ĊH2 of the free radical ĊH2CH2COOH, stabilized in γ-irradiated single crystals of β-alanine is in a state of free rotation at 77 K. Hyperfine interaction with the β-protons is averaged at temperatures above 355 K. Two types of internal rotation of the CH2 group are assumed.
