EPR Study of the Pentafluoro-Cyclopentadienyl Radical and the Cyclopentadienyl Radical

Abstract

The EPR-spectra of the C5F5-radical generated from C5F5Cl indicate pronounced anisotropy of the fluorine couplings. EPR-studies of the C5H5radical under various conditions yield the isotropic 1H- and 13C-couplings.UV excitation of the C5H5-radical induce a partially reversible, matrix-dependent photoreaction.
