Abstract
In June 1972, the Frederick Cancer Research Center (FCRC) began operations under contract arrangements with the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI). Since then the Center has grown to its present size, diversity, and importance. In 1973, the Chemotherapy Fermentation Laboratory (CFL), which was to include an intermediate scale production unit or pilot plant, was first proposed for installation at FCRC as a service operation in support of the Division of Cancer Treatment (DCT) of the NCI.
Program sponsored by NCI under contract #NO1-CO-25423 with Litton Bionetics, Inc.
