Abstract
In August 1974, a cooperative study was started by 18 institutions in the Kansai district to evaluate the effect of bleomycin combined with radiotherapy in the treatment of esophagal, bronchogenic and intra-oral carcinomas. The objective of this study was to determine whether the combined use of bleomycin with radiotherapy would yield results superior to those of radiotherapy alone. This report presents the preliminary data accumulated in this study up to the present time.
