Abstract

Although general interest in the apallic syndrome, especially its posttraumatic forms, has increased during the last few years, relatively little is known even today about the psycho-pathologic aspects of its late regressive and terminal states. We are still awaiting comprehensive investigations. Hitherto existing publications indicate that one can rarely expect regression of all Psychopathologic disturbances when there is further-reaching restitution over a longer survival period. More often defective states will develop.
