The Basic Surface Pattern of the Human Brain Cortex, Seen in Orthogonal Projections
As mentioned in the Introduction, one of the major obstacles to the anatomic understanding of cortical angiograms seems to be difficulty in conceiving the three-dimensional anatomy of the brain surface as it really is —and as it appears in radiographic projections. Therefore it might be useful to review the basic pattern of sulci and gyri as an introduction to the study of the blood vessels running on their surfaces.
