Megakaryocyte Colony Formation
The literature on this subject is small, but the technique for obtaining megakaryocyte colony formation in vitro appears to offer exciting possibilities for future studies on the formation of normal and abnormal megakaryocytes. So far, only mouse megakaryocyte colonies have been successfully cultured in vitro, and the technique has yet to be adapted to the culture of human cells.
