Zusammenfassung

Unter dem Begriff „Luftmyelographie“ versteht man eine Röntgenuntersuchung des Spinalkanals mit negativen Kontrastmitteln, damit auch eine Röntgenuntersuchung des Rückenmarks. In der Weltliteratur ist diese Untersuchungsmethode unter der Bezeichnung Pneumomyelography, Airmyelography, PMG bekannt. Die Entwicklung der Luftmyelographie ist etwa mit der Entwicklung der Pneumoenzephalo-Cisternographie zu vergleichen.
