Abstract

It is not our purpose to go fully into questions of body temperature determination, interesting though these matters are. For reviews, see Cloudsley-Thompson (1970); Heinrich (1974, 1975). However, one aspect of temperature regulation is directly relevant to water balance, namely evaporative cooling, and this will be discussed.
