Abstract
This chapter will serve in part as a summary by recalling the main features of the earlier sections, but its chief purpose is to identify areas that are currently active or that may offer particular promise for future development. A case will be made for the need to integrate the results of physiological studies with reference to the whole animal in a natural setting.
