Chemotherapy of Penis Carcinoma

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: Recent Results in Cancer Research ((RECENTCANCER,volume 60))

Abstract

Chemotherapy of penis carcinoma is a milestone in the development of chemotherapy of solid tumors. The author was the first to test the effect of bleomycin in the treatment of this carcinoma and predicted bleomycin would be a specific drug against squamous cell carcinoma in general. The accuracy of this prediction has since been confirmed by many clinicians in various fields here and abroad and by animal experiments conducted by my coworkers and myself.
