Abstract

Population studied. 8,730 males and 1,540 females with cancer of the respiratory system were followed for the subsequent development of independent primary malignant neoplasms; 271 such subsequent neoplasms were diagnosed. The cohort of individuals with cancer of the respiratory system contributed 15,437 person-years of observation.
