Abstract

Compared to chemotherapy, immunotherapy is minimally toxic. It is not, however, a branch of homeopathy. We have seen that a contrary effect to the one sought can be obtained (tumour growth enhancement). Direct toxic effects, minor or severe and possibly lethal, have been observed. Thus the toxicology (MATHE, 1976; SCHWARZENBERG et al., 1976) of this new weapon in cancer treatment must be known.
