Abstract
Within the past 5 years, numerical methods applicable to transsonic flow past an airfoil have been extensively investigated. Approaches for calculating a steady, two-dimensional, inviscid transsonic flow field may be roughly divided into three classes: finite difference techniques, hodograph methods, and semi-analytical techniques.
