Abstract
Salinity is known to affect many aspects of the metabolism of plants and to induce changes in their anatomy and morphology. These changes are often considered to be adaptations which increase the chances of the plant to endure the stress imposed by salinity; alternatively, they may be considered to be signs of damage and disruption of the normal equilibrium of life processes.
