Abstract
Tumours of the central nervous system, especially those occurring intracranially are among the most common present in infancy and childhood. At the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, brain tumours are present in about 2.5% of all admissions to the neurosurgical division or approximately 50 cases a year.
