Über 700 gut dokumentierte Fälle sind bisher in der Literatur beschrieben. Hodentumoren stehen an 7. Stelle der malignen Geschwülste im Kindesalter, und die Mehrzahl dieser Hodentumoren sind embryonale Karzinome, Teratokarzinome und Teratome.
