Presentation and Progression of Hodgkin’s Disease

  • Chapter
Diagnosis and Therapy of Malignant Lymphoma

Summary

Hodgkin’s disease is primarily a disease of the lymphatic system. It may be unicentric from the beginning and then spread at first locally in the lymphatic system. Spread via the blood-stream seems to be more frequent with advancing disease, but may occur early. Direct overgrowth to extranodal sites may occur early in the course of the disease.
