Abstract

Progress in the therapy of acute leukemia has led to the conclusion that there are at least two groups of acute leukemias differing with respect to the effect of therapy and prognosis. One group is usually referred to as acute lymphatic or lymphoblastic leukemia; the other group includes the granulocytic, myelomonocytic and monocytic varieties as well as erythremic myelosis.
