Zoochromes and Sensory Perception

It seems probable that chromes play a part in the function of most sense cells and the primary function of chromatophores (p. 141) in response to various types of external signal is relevant here. At present little is known of the rÔle except in photoperceptors but chromes are present in other sensory epithelia.
