Zusammenfassung

Prostatagewebe ist schon vielfach in künstlichem Medium angezüchtet und histologisch untersucht worden. (Eine Literaturübersicht kann bei den Verfassern angefordert werden.) Eine sichere Bestimmung der einzelnen Wachstumselemente ist jedoch mit lichtmikroskopischen Methoden nicht immer möglich. Daher befaßt sich dieser Beitrag mit der Ultrastruktur der Prostatazelle in der Monolayer-Gewebekultur. Es sollen unterschiedliche Zelltypen nach morphologischen Kriterien differenziert werden sowie auf einige Charakteristika der Carcinomzelle ebenso wie auf Alterungsvorgänge in der Kultur hingewiesen werden.
