The present research deals with the nosology of the basic hereditary myoclonic-epileptic-demented syndromes, embracing the progressive myoclonus epilepsies (PME), dyssynergia cerebellaris myoclonica (DCM) and the myoclonic variants of the three postinfantile types of amaurotic idiocy (MVI).
