Abstract

In 1952 the technique of direct lymphography, as an elective method of exploration and study of the peripheral lymphatic collectors and of the lymph nodes located along the peripheral lymphatic ways, was first studied and tested in clinical practice by J. B. Kinmonth [46–48]. Since then, the use of lymphography as a diagnostic tool has spread and been adopted in all countries and there have been very many contributions to the literature on the subject from various research groups [1, 5, 6, 8, 10–11, 13–15, 23, 25–30, 34–43, 49–61, 67–72, 76, 78–84, 86–88]. Numerous investigators in many countries authoritatively state that lymphographic reports are very reliable, especially in the field of lymphoproliferative diseases [6, 8, 10, 15, 23, 25, 27, 29, 37–38, 40, 43, 49, 52, 54–55, 57, 61, 67, 78–79, 84, 86–88].
