Zusammenfassung
Unter einer Hernie verstehen wir den Austritt von Bauchorganen aus der Bauchhöhle in einen von Bauchfell gebildeten und von den an der besonderen Stelle vorhandenen äußeren Decken überzogenen Bruchsack. Die Durchtrittsstelle der Hernie wird als Bruchpforte bezeichnet.
