Arginin-induzierte Sekretion von Insulin und Glucagon bei verschiedenen Diätformen

Arginine Induced Secretion of Insulin and Glucagon in Rats, Kept on Various Diets

  • Chapter
Endokrinologie der Entwicklung und Reifung

Summary

Male Wistar rats were fed an isocaloric sucrose, starch and fat-rich diet, Arginine was given 0.5 g/kg, p/o and 50 mM on perfusion of the isolated rat pancreas. Insulin and glucagon were measured immunologically. Sucrose-fed rats showed in vivo a significant increase of insulin release and a prolonged hypoglycemia up to 45 min. On perfusion, arginine induced a biphasic insulin and glucagon release, much higher in sucrose-fed rats then in controls.
