Zusammenfassung

Stumpfe, nicht penetrierende Verletzungen des Ureters sind selten, da der Ureter aufgrund seiner topographischen Lage und seiner pathophysiologischen Eigenschaften gut gegen äußere Gewalteinwirkungen geschützt ist. Die kräftige Rückenmuskulatur mit den Mm. psoas, quadratus lumborum und erector trunci sowie die Wirbelsäule bilden einen soliden Schutzwall gegen Stöße und Schläge von dorsal und lateral; frontal schirmt nicht nur die Bauchmuskulatur, sondern auch der Bauchraum mit den Eingeweiden den Ureter elastisch ab.
