Abstract
The physiological importance of acetylcholine and adrenaline has caused these drugs to be the subject of very extensive research and, hence, there is a large amount of quantitative evidence regarding their mode of action. It is of interest to consider what light this evidence throws on the theory of the humoral transmission of the nervous impulse.
