Die Katastrophensituation, deren Definition als bekannt gelten darf, ist für den Arzt letztendlich die extreme Steigerung der Notfallversorgung in qualitativer wie quantitativer Hinsicht. Sie stellt einen Teil der ärztlichen Gesamtversorgung dar und ist mit dieser unlösbar verbunden.
