Zusammenfassung
Bei vier Patienten mit typischem Bild eines Posner-Schlossman-Syndroms fanden wir während der glaukomatozyklitischen Krise immer Ödeme von Hornhautendothelzellen. Die nahe Verwandtschaft von Hornhaut- und Trabekelendothel macht es deshalb wahrscheinlich, daß der akuten Drucksteigerung eine Schwellung der Endothelzellen im Trabekelwerk zugrunde liegt Diese Endotheliitis und Trabekulitis spricht gut auf hochdosierte lokale Steroide an, die jedoch nur kurzfristig während der glaukomatozyklitischen Krise gegeben werden sollten. Ein Übergang in ein chronisches Sekundärglaukom kann vorkommen. Obwohl die Endotheliitis bei der glaukomatozyklitischen Krise derjenigen bei Herpes-simplex- und Zoster-Erkrankungen ähnlich ist, konnte eine Virusätiologie beim Posner-Schlossman-Syndrom bisher noch nicht bewiesen werden.
