Zusammenfassung

Nach den heute vorliegenden, teilweise noch sehr unvollständigen Kenntnissen wirken die meisten der bei der Glaukomtherapie verwendeten Pharmaka entweder auf die Kammerwassersekretion oder die Abflußmechanismen ein. Die Senkung des beim Glaucoma chronicum simplex erhöhten Augeninnendruckes kann daher entweder durch eine Hemmung der Sekretion oder durch eine Verbesserung des Kammerwasserabflusses erreicht werden. Da sowohl die Bildungs- als auch die Abflußmechanismen sehr kompliziert sind, ergeben sich von Seiten der Morphologie verschiedene Angriffsorte für die jeweiligen Pharmaka.
