Zusammenfassung

Die Intaktheit des Hornhautendothels ist bei vielen Eingriffen am vorderen Augenabschnitt entscheidend für den Erfolg der Operation. Verletzungen des Endothels können insbesondere bei Kataraktoperationen, Discisionen, Implantationen von Vorderkammerlinsen und Keratoplastiken zu schweren Hornhautschädigungen führen.
