Zusammenfassung

Die Ora serrata ist eine Grenzzone für verschiedene anatomische Schichten. In den tieferen Schichten besteht die Grenze einerseits in der Chorioidea, indem an der Ora die Choriokapillaris endet, andererseits im Pigmentepithel, dessen Pigmentgehalt vor der Ora serrata plötzlich stark zunimmt. Bei der Untersuchung des lebenden Auges [2] imponiert die retroretinale Grenze demnach als Farbwechsel von Fundusrot zu ziliarem Braun und wird als tiefgelegene Veränderung am besten auf der Vorderfläche des Indentationsbuckels beobachtet.
