Zusammenfassung

Obwohl die Kryoretinopexie seit 6 Jahren mehr und mehr Bedeutung gewonnen hat, weist die Literatur nur wenige Publikationen auf, die sich ausschließlich mit der Anwendung dieser Methode zur Prophylaxe der Netzhautablösung befassen oder eindeutig zwischen der Kryoretinopexie bei anliegender und bei abgelöster Netzhaut unterscheiden1 (Shafer, 1967; Shea, 1968; Abraham u. Shea, 1969; Böke, 1970; Hilsdorf, 1970). Die folgenden Ausführungen werden daher vorwiegend die eigenen Erfahrungen wiedergeben und diese mit den einschlägigen Arbeiten der Literatur vergleichen.
