  • Chapter
Book cover Intelligent Software Agents

Abstract

Even during the definition of intelligent agents, it became apparent that the influences of various research directions are reflected in the development of an agent. Figure 4.4/1 emphasizes this fact by comparing the areas of influence with the characteristics assigned to an agent.

Sections 4.1 to 4.5 were written by Rüdiger Zarnekow. Sections 4.6 and 4.7 were written by Hartmut Wittig.
