Osteorestoration via Shock Wave Application. A new Possibility of Treating Disturbed Bone Union

  • Chapter

Abstract

The so-called osteorestoration via shock wave application is a relatively new method in the treatment of disturbed fracture healing. To date 62 areas in 60 patients with a diagnosis of pseudo-arthrosis have been treated. The results have been surprisingly good, whereby a dependence on the kind of pseudo-arthrosis has been observed. Indications and contra-indications can be specified from the experience in application.
