Zusammenfassung

Das hämolytisch-urämische Syndrom (HUS) befindet sich mit Recht im Rahmen der pädiatrischen Interessen, da es eine der häufigsten (~ 70%) Ursachen der Niereninsuffizienz beim Säugling und kleinem Kind darstellt [1, 4, 9]. Bei seinen auslösenden vielfältigen heterogenen Faktoren sind die infektiösen Diarrhöen heute als wichtige äthiologische Faktoren akzeptiert, nämlich diejenigen, die von Zytotoxin (Verotoxin) produzierenden (VT I, VT II) Bakterienstämmen bedingt sind [5, 9–13, 15, 18, 19, 24, 25].
