Zusammenfassung
Wir untersuchen die erste Phase des Lokalisationspro-blems für Roboter: Für ein gegebenes Kartenpolygon P und ein sternförmiges Polygon V sind alle Punkte aus P zu bestimmen, deren Sichtbarkeitspolygon gleich V ist. In [6] beschreiben Guibas, Motwani und Raghavan (für Kartenpolygone ohne Löcher) ein Verfahren mit Preprocessing-Aufwand O(n 4 r), so daß eine solche Lokalisationsanfrage mit bestmöglichem Zeitbedarf von O(m + log n + A) beantwortet werden kann. Hierbei bezeichnen m und n die Eckenzahlen von V und P r ist die Anzahl der Reflex-Ecken des Kartenpolygons P und A ist die Größe der Ausgabe, d.h. die Zahl der gefundenen Punkte.
Wir zeigen, daß die Komplexitätsschranke für das Preprocessing zu O(n 2 r -(n + r 2)) verschärft werden kann. Dies ist besser als die ursprüngliche Abschätzung, falls die Zahl r der Reflex-Ecken klein gegenüber der Zahl n der Gesamtecken des Kartenpolygons ist.
Außerdem beschreiben wir einen Ansatz, das Verfahren von Guibas et al. so zu modifizieren, daß es auch in der Praxis (z.B. bei ungenauer Sensorik, etc.) sinnvoll eingesetzt werden kann.
