Abstract
For many applications in the field of research and development it is important to use a laser light source with characteristics similar to a dirac pulse. This contribution shows the possibility for using common or special types of laser diodes to produce very short laser pulses below 100ps. Typical applications are
-
time resolved spectroscopy
-
distance and speed measurements
-
testing of opto-electronical devices and others.
