Abstract
Femtosecond dye laser amplifiers are reviewed by KNOX and DBELS and RUDOLPH. Multistage single-pass amplifiers are used with high power pump lasers. Bow-tie and confocal resonator multi-pass amplifiers amplify the femtosecond pulses in several passes within the pump pulse duration. Two-stage multi-pass amplifiers allow to adjust the pump pulse requirements to the small-signal preamplification and the final high energy extraction (CHAMBARET et. al.).
